How do I get started?
Create an account and choose Heilo Voicemail. Set your greeting, then turn on forwarding of missed calls to your Heilo number with your carrier. Test it: call your number from a second phone, don't answer, and leave a message after the greeting. The price is net, and VAT is added at checkout.
How do I set up forwarding of missed calls?
Your carrier provides this service. You turn it on with a keypad code or in your phone's settings, if they let you choose forwarding when there is no answer. Set it to the Heilo number shown in the dashboard. Don't choose unconditional forwarding, because then your phone stops ringing and calls go straight to Heilo. Check availability and cost of forwarding with your carrier.
How will I know about a new message?
Once processed, the message appears in the Heilo dashboard: the recording, transcript and summary. SMS notifications depend on the number's settings, so check them for your number.
What if the caller doesn't leave a message?
Then there is nothing to process, so Heilo won't prepare a transcript or a summary.
Can I set my own greeting?
Yes. You record or type the greeting in your number's settings, and Heilo plays it. You can also set a schedule, for example a different greeting at weekends.
